One interesting feature of this project is the cress seeds included as a promotional item. This item can be felt and heard when the envelope is shaken. As it appeals to two senses, it encourages recipients to open the mailing with even greater enthusiasm. A card, designed to a bespoke graphic specification, was attached to the bag of seeds.

The direct mailer consisted of several elements. All of them fit into a C5 envelope with a window.

What is worth noting about this project
The interesting giveaway – the cress plant. It can easily be felt through the envelope, encouraging the recipient to open it. When the parcel is shaken, it also makes sounds, further piquing the recipient’s curiosity.

– C5 offset envelope, gusseted, up to 30% print area, 4/4, standard right-hand window,
– A4 letter folded to A5, 90° offset, 4/4, black duplex personalisation,
– cress with a 4/0 label featuring branding.
