Self-copy rolls consist of two webs of paper. The first web is made of offset paper, the second one of self-copy paper.
The self-copy paper is coated with SC (Self Contained) microcapsules. Under mechanical impact, the microcapsules burst and cause printing on the paper.
Self-copy rolls are warranted for 5 years for the ability to copy paper and 25 years for the durability of copies. Also available are chemical self-copy rolls used in devices where no ribbon is used.
